Alex Jeffreys Coaching Students – Your Answer To The Blog Roll Issue
Fellow student Joe Trueman brought up a possible problem with all of us creating these huge blog rolls with links to all of the students in the Alex Jeffreys coaching program. I don't think that it is a problem right now but as more and more students create big blog rolls we could be subject to Googles scrutiny.
Google is very unforgiving in these manners. I had my adsense account stripped away a couple years ago and still do not have a clue why they did it. I was not using any "black hat" tactics of any sort but according to them, I violated their terms of service. That was the only response that I could get from them after numerous emails.
So, I do advise caution but not to worry. There is a very easy fix for this. All you have to do is down load this plugin called Nofollow Links, install it on your blog and apply the "nofollow attribute to your outgoing blog roll links.

I am using html in a text box for the Alex Students… do you think it would be treated the same by Google as a BlogRoll??

Oh, how Google loves to do that and not say why.
I haven't set up a blogroll yet, because it is literally very tedious. I've Tweeted with Garry about this and he says it'sa lot of work!
I'll get it up one day, folks but not for now.

There is a private Alex Jeffreys Coaching section (for Alex Jeffreys students only) and another public section open to the general web public. The public area allows discussion of different subjects like technical, social media/networking, sharing wins and burning questions.

The issue is having a ton of outgoing links. If you are using html then simply add rel="nofollow" to all of the links inside the "a" tags. ( I couldn't use the html brackets because it turned the rest of the post into a link)
I would love to do an interview. I will go and leave my details some time today.
Erwin, the blog roll is time consuming. I have a lot of people to add and but have been concentrating on other things.
I will definitely stop by the forum, but probably not until sometime after Christmas. I'll probably sneak over some time late tonight or real early tomorrow morning.

Just letting you know that I have now installed the "OnlyWire" button. Just got to go and signup for all those Social Networking sites now:)
Quick question for you though….should I now REMOVE the "Share This" button that was originally installed with my Blog? Seems pointless in having both?

Hey I wish I had seen your video last week before I deleted about 30 people from my blogroll. I just installed the plugin and it works great. I will be adding people back in slow but sure with the nofollow attribute. I do have 7 students I left on my blogroll and I didn't use the nofollow attribute. I figure Google won't slap me for 7 links. Just to let you know, you are one of them.
