Did Google Just Slap Me?
a day my blog was back in the search engine results. My page rank has not returned. Thank goodness page rank is not that important. I guess I won't lose any sleep over that. I have more important things to concentrate on. Google update their page rankings quarterly. We'll see what happens in a few months.
Make sure you have signed up for the next issue of the Profit Pulling Project. I am going to go in depth about how lawrence to optimize your blog and also talk a little about blog etiquette and things we can do to help each other with out putting forth too much effort.

Hi JT what a nightmare, I always did think that all these plugins where bound to clash. Bit like drugs (my expertise) one always has to decide whether the risk/benefit profile is worth it to you and better still be aware of clashesor have the person prescribing aware (sadly less common than it shouled be). Your ability to track the source down is fantastic, I'm such a novice but this sort of thing really floats my boat so I'll be looking into the rest of your stuff.

I have set up a seperate page for my blog roll with a link hard copied on my home page. I have done other things lately as well, but since I setup the blog roll this way my Google page ranking has gone up, I have several backlinks and a few of my targeted keywords are in the top 10 results in Google.
Let'em follow :>

PS- Thanks Google
Sorry JT, Somehow I deleted my name in the first post
here it is again.
Hello JT, So should we follow or not follow our links to other networking blogs of Alex jeffrey's
this is a little confusing, anyhow -
I just added you to my blog roll. A little slow getting this going.
I have read some of you post – very good information; I will be visiting here often. I am working on some projects myself, please visit – Talk to you soon.
Best Regards
Vince
Susan O-T has always had her blogroll on another page, probably a good idea, I may do that

This is for everyone.
I got slapped because the outgoing links were in my blogroll. Putting the blogroll on another page will make it look more like a typical link page.
This will be OK for a while. Once all of the other students get there pages or blogrolls up and they are all pointing to each other then it is just a matter of time until Google notices.
Your best bet is to use the nofollow attribute no matter where you place your outgoing links.
Hi JT,
Great article. Now it starts to make sense to me. This 'link juice' and loosing your mo-jo and all that, LOL!
I better get that 'nofollow' plug in on my site pretty quickly.
Is there any easy way to check my Google PR.? I really need to get on top of all this stuff so I'm making it a priority now to find out more about this SEO stuff.
Thanks JT, Oh, just about to fire off an email to you as well about some other matter

JT, you have written another excellent article/post explaining this never ending struggle with ranking on Google.
I am using the plugin you suggest and SEO Quake. I uninstalled it because it really slows down my already snail like connection. Maybe I better get it back.
Thanks,
Theresa
PS I onlywired this.
Hi Theresa,
Thanks for the Onlywire. I hope everyone starts doing this on a regular basis. It will really help.
