My First Ebook Is Almost Finished!

16

It's only a matter of time now. I should be finished with the ebook tonight. All I have to do is make sure that I have all of the back end components in place and that all the links work and go where they are supposed to go. Then I will make a couple test runs to double check that the system runs smoothly and like I planned.

For those that are wondering, it's not just about creating the ebook. While I am giving the ebook away for free, my goal is to make about $500 within the first 30 days that the ebook is live. This will happen through various affiliate links that are in the ebook and from back end offers that will be presented to my subscribers via my auto responder.

That is how the "big dogs" build their lists and get payed to do it. My mentor, Alex Jeffreys, has taught me that if you provide as much value as you can and give away the farm for free, your subscribers will be begging you to buy something from you later down the road.

Well I am about to put that theory to the test. I have been using the strategies Alex presents in his free ebook, "List Building With Alex", and I have added almost 500 subscribers to my email list. These are verified subscribers. If I include every lead I generated the number is over 700.

I have been participating in JV Giveaways and PLR products to achieve these results. My ebook is designed to help me leverage the JV Giveaways to produce even more subscribers per event and will be the lead in to my next project. Some time in the very near future, I am going to host my own JV Giveaway event.

Now I have been thinking of a way that I could include some of my fellow students as partners in this event. There will of course have to be some basic requirements that will have to be met. One will be your own original product that will have a permanent place on the first page of gifts.

I was thinking that I could have a script that would rotate the various partners opt in forms on the sign up page. That way the major partners will all get to add thousands of subscribers to their list. I  just finished reading Jason James free report for his new Giveaway Riches product.

He talks about his 3 "Greedy Giveaway" events that he hosted and how he averaged over 11,000 new subscribers per event. He then goes on to say how those results are nothing compared to some of the events run by Henry Gold where he added over 28,000 subscribers in 2 weeks time.

There is also money to made from the one time offers and the upgrades that could be split amongst the partners. Jason said he averaged about $5000 per event. That's not exactly chump change although the real value is in the subscribers.

I am probalby looking for no more than 3 or 4 partners. We will share in the cost of the software to run the JV which is about $300. I have a hosting plan that has unlimited bandwidth, server space, domains, and everything so that is covered. I have placed a support ticket to make sure that the server I am on can handle that kind of traffic.

The partners will have to share in the duties of running the support desk and possibly any expenses that might be incurred if the services of a programmer are required. I think I can handle setting up the script, but you never know. There will also be the cost of the website graphics and some promotional banners which will be another $200 – $300.

We will also need to put together some promotional emails. I think the partners can probably handle this on their own. We will decide on whether we buy any advertising as we go. It depends on what kind of JV partners we have as we approach launch day.

I am totally open to suggestions. If anyone has any ideas or you are seriously interested in being a partner then leave a comment.

Hi JT,

Congratulations on your success so far with the JV Giveways. Have you thought of changing you headline to see if your conversion rate increases? Now your getting lots of traffic you can start testing and tweaking things.

Thanks for producing the video tutorials on how to set up the download page and thank you pages for the Giveways. Very helpful.

Well done on creating the e-book too. Can't wait to find out what it's about.

To your success,

Dave (fellow member of F500)

P.S. I've added you to my blogroll and would appreciate being addded to yours.

JT,

I have been working on the fringe of JV Giveaways but have not achieved the level of success displayed by you. You are to be congratulated. I look foward to your e-book with the hope of refining my use of the giveaways for listbuilding.

Hi JT,
Great to see what you're planning. I'm still figuring out the giveaway programs.

I'm inspired to create my own product after AJ's marathon module yesterday.

Guess I'd better get busy.

Warmly,
Theresa

Also did you get my email yesterday?

Thanks,
Garry

Hi Jt,

The headline to change is on your PPP squeeze page.

I also bought JJ's 'Giveaway Riches' e-book, but not the script. Be interested to hear how you get on with that. I'll also contribute to any of your giveways – if I'm invited?

Will your e-book be on Giveways too?

To your continued success,

Dave

Great and thanks for the videos by the way…..I am definitely interested in the JV (I skipped the OTO with Jason – but glad you did ;-) – as students of Alex hopefully we can tap into it again…..so as with Dave above (in terms of comments) I will be interested to see how you get on with it….

I too would be happy to contribute to any of your giveaways…in line with that does it have to be ebooks or can they be videos…hmm maybe videos in an ebook….anyway – let me know and can't wait to see your book!

Hi JT,

I'd be interested in getting involved in your project with you.
I have an idea for a product but haven't started creating it yet, so it may depend on what sort of timeline you're looking at.
I'll drop you an email so we can have a chat about it.

Cheers,
Carl.
