Are You Losing Subscribers and Don't Know It?
and you don't have to make any changes on your website. The other option is the "Raw Enhancement male prescription HTML Version". This code is easily customizable. You can change the look and feel of the optin form to better match your website.
I think that most people go with the recommended "Javascript Snippet" which can be a very costly error. Let me explain why. Firefox has become very popular and I would say that it is more popular amongst Internet marketers than IE. The number 1 downloaded add on for Firefox is called "AdBlockPlus".
This cool little add on blocks all kinds of advertisements which slow down your browsing. It blocks banners as well as javascripts that power a lot of advertisements. It will also block out your opt in form. Your squeeze page will show up with everything except for cheap buy ampicillin the little boxes where people enter their name and email address.
When I discovered this little tidbit, levitra cost I realized that I had lost hundreds of potential subscribers to my list. (Thanks go to Rodger Hyatt for pointing this out to me.) I have always used the javascript code for all of my squeeze pages. If you are too, you need to get off your butt and change them right now because you are losing subscribers.
I am curious to know how many of you have fallen into this trap. Please leave a comment and tell me about your experiences with this. Maybe I'm the only dummy who has been doing this.

Hey JT,
I wasn't aware of this potential problem when using the Javascript Snippet. That's just what we need is another unknown way to lose subscribers. As if it's not hard enough already to get them.
Fortunately for me I've always used Aweber's Raw HTML Version because I like to use custom made optin forms that I design in Photoshop as it gives me more flexibility.
Thanks for the tip JT. Now that you've made me aware of this I will definitely never use the JavaScript Snippet.

JT,
Thanks for the headsup on this. I had heard to not use the java script version, but I had never known why. -Norene

Thanks for the info, wasn't aware of the issues until I read this so will have to double check compatability issues with Firefox.
All the best
Tom
Hi JT,
Came across this and promptly disabled AdBlock which I use often as I get fed up with things whizzing up and down, in and out
.
Thanks for the advice!
I notice that on the AdBlock options that there is a line saying "Disable on JT Martin.net".
How did you do that?
Anyway, thanks again – every little helps with this list building.
Dave
Thanks for letting us know about this little "problem" that Firefox can cause. I have a question: when you use the "Raw HTML Version" of the opt-in form, do you need to change anything in the HTML or will just using it do the trick? I'm not an HTML whiz, by any means, so I hope I don't have to do anything to it.
Thanks again for the tip!
Dawn
I had someone post a link to an ebook that I was very interested in reading and I asked him why there was no subscriber form below the blue arrow on his splash page. He told me to remove my cookies. I tried again and the same result and contacted him again. He acted like I was blind and couldn't see the form. (He was telling me where it was on the page like I was a moron).
Thanks for the tip. If I were still associated with that company I would love to send him to this post.
Thanks & God Bless,
Randy
Hi Randy,
When this was brought to my attention for the first time, the only thing I could think about was how many potential subscribers I had lost. There were probably a lot of people thinking the very same thing, "Where is the subscriber form?"
I haven't used the javascript form since I found out.
