@Jeff Bode (2 comments.): Hey Jeff, it's funny that you mention going over the 45 minutes because I do the same thing. Maybe I should start setting my timer for 1 hour and then take a 15 minute break.

You are so right about focusing on exactly what you need to do. Once you have some success, it is easy enough to pick out what is working for you and concentrate most of your efforts on that.

But until then, it is really tough to know what you should be spending your time on. That was one of the greatest benefits that I got from having a mentor. I new that Alex was having great success using the techniques that he was teaching us.

That made it much easier to be committed to what I was doing. Knowing that my time was being well spent and that I would see results made it much easier to stay committed and focused.

Hey JT great video!

focus is easily one of the most important things to learn for online success... it's also the hardest to really get focused on exactly what you need to do in my opinion.

I do the same thing as you with the 45 minutes of work... then 15 off, but usually it ends up being longer then 45 minutes - still excellent advice!

No problem Judah, sometimes it helps just to know that people are actually reading your blog posts. LOL Please feel free to point out any mistakes or mis-spellings. I can use all the help I can get. What I am really fishing for here is to know what my readers want to learn about. That way I can target my posts towards the main problems that they are having with their online business.

Hey JT, thanks for this one. And I'm really sorry you had to email and remind me to give feedback before I did, my only excuse is that I kinda feel silly just saying "thanks for this " on a comment because they say it only makes it look like you're trying to get backlinks.

But yeah, your emails and blog entries are very helpful for a broke newbie, so I just wanted to thank you, man.

(ps: you spelled "Sponsors" wrong on your sidebar, might wanna fix that, just saying. Can I be on your team? :D If you need proofreading or editing done, just gimme a holler, I'm pretty good at it in real life.)

@Paul Lear (1 comments.): Hi Paul, thanks for stopping by. The countdown timer method certainly works. That was one of the first things that Alex taught us and it immediately made a huge impact on my productivity.

I really like the "daily did sheet" because it let me identify what was slowing me down and eating up my precious time. For someone like me, who still works a full time job and has a family, time is my most valuable asset.

That is why one of my biggest priorities for this year is to build a team or assistants to take care of all the "grunt" work and so I can scale up my business.
