The New Yellow Pages?

6

The new yellow pages is Google. The old yellow pages usually ends up in the trash or the bottom of a bird cage. But don't be hasty and throw them away just yet. They can still serve a useful purpose.

Especially if you are helping local businesses with their online marketing like I am. The yellow pages is a big list of potential customers. I love to see those big full page color ads.

That means some business owner in my neighborhood is spending thousands of dollars a year for advertising that has become all but obsolete in today's market.

The door is wide open for me to step in and show them how to spend that money on advertising and lead generation that is much more effective and has results that can be tracked.

The local marketing niche is still wide open. Less then 50% of businesses have websites although that is about to change quickly. The reason is because Google has created the sites for them.

Now that sounds like bad news for me but not really. Google has aggregated all the business directories and created "Google Places" pages for all of the local businesses, but most local costs businesses have no idea that this has happened.

That leaves the door wide open for me to show them how to claim their spot in Google even if they don't have a website. This is an easy way to gain a new customer that you can later upsell more expensive services like SEO and social media.

Google has made it super easy. Not only have they created everyone a spot in places, they have also set them up with a places "mobile" page. So all you have to do is get your client set up in Google places, which also puts them on Google maps, they are automatically set up for mobile!

This is one of those upcoming technologies that I was talking about in my last post. Mobile technology is just getting going. The next couple years are going usher in a new era of mobile technology.

Pretty soon, your cell phone will be one of your most valued possessions. I am willing to bet that you might already "freak out" a little if you leave the house and forget your phone.

Ok…maybe not everyone, but if you are under 30 years old I am betting the answer is yes.

Very soon, you won't even need a wallet. You will swipe your cell phone to buy things, not a credit card. You can already download coupons on your cell that are a type of bar code that you swipe to get discounts.

This has already been implemented in parts of Europe and will be coming to America soon. Your cell phone will tell you how to get where you want to go. It will let you make reservations. It will let you make all of your purchases.

There is even a new technology that will tell you where you are based on a picture. You use your phone to take a picture of a building and it will cross reference a data base and tell you where you are and how to get where you want to go from there.

Pretty cool, huh?

What this means to us, is that there is a tremendous opportunity for someone "in the know" to monetize these new trends. I have already began with my local marketing business.

I have been very intrigued about the new "mobile" technologies and have been searching for information so I could at it to my list of services that I provide for my customers.

Last week, I ran across the Mobile Local Fusion and jumped on it! This is exactly what I had been looking for. I have spent the last week, aside from a couple days for Christmas, going through the material and can't say enough good things about it.

Unfortunately, I have brought this news to you a little late. They are closing the program down tonight at midnight. Hopefully, you will see this before it's too late.

I have decided to give a free lifetime membership to my Local Marketing Institute to anyone who purchases Mobile Local Fusion through my link. Just go to my help desk and submit a copy of your receipt and I will set you up with a free account.

So if your sitting on the fence, get off your butt and lets make some money! This one is a total no-brainer. The information you are going to get inside the members area is well worth the price of admission.

Hi JT

I think the power of this is incredible, when you put in the mismatch by which I mean the number of people who make local searches on their mobile against the small number of local businesses that actually are aware that it's happening and we all have a great opportunity here

The huge growth in smart phones can only mean that this carries on growing for some time to come

Thanks for sharing Tony

I thank you JT for the generosity of this wonderful bonus. We are only just seeing the sunrise of the new world of mobile commerce and it's an exciting time to play a part in its infancy. Mobile marketing is just taking off in Australia and local businesses have no idea where to turn for help.
