Yesterday I got my "profit pulling platform" and "list building machine" in place. This morning I got up at 3AM and send out a broadcast to my meager email list giving away copies of List Building With Alex. I then did my Yoga workout, got the kids off to school and went to work.

I spent my lunch break sending out promotions to a hand full of safelists. I added my squeeze page to my Pageswirl rotator, gave it priority, and surfed some traffic exchanges for about a half an hour.

When I got home from work this evening I checked my email and low and behold I had a $47 payment into my Paypal account. I logged into my Aweber account and I have 16 new subscribers to the new list I started for the List Building With Alex promotion.

1 sale out of 16 subscribers is a 6.25% conversion rate on the upsell. That is awesome! Of course, I don't have near enough stats to call that the actual conversion rate. We'll see where we are at after about 100 subscribers.

If the conversion rate stays where its at, I will be able to spend over $2 per subscriber in advertising costs and still make money. Those are pretty darn good metrics. We'll see how it pans out over the next 2 weeks. Also, keep in mind that my autoresponder series hasn't even kicked in yet. If I do a good job writing my emails there will be more sales in the near future.

It just goes to show what a well tested and tweaked squeeze page can accomplish. I still can't believe that I made a sale. 6% is a good conversion rate for an upsell. The video is what makes the difference, I am sure of it.

I have been using upsells and one time offers in my giveaway promotions, which is how I built my current list of about 300 subscribers. I have never had that kind of conversion on the upsell. Usually I am doing good if I convert at 1%.
