Ok, let's face it. If you are not using video in your marketing efforts than your are going to get left behind. If you are one of Alex Jeffreys students, I would almost bet that you would not have joined his coaching program if it had not been for the video that he had on his website.

The success of websites like YouTube cannot be ignored. Tests have proven that video and audio squeeze pages convert better as well as sales pages with video and audio. Anybody can do this. It is not difficult. You only have to take action.

The first thing you need to do is go here and download the free trial of Camtasia Studio 6.

Now watch this quick video to see just how easy it is. There are tons of these video tutorials on Camtasia's website. I will be posting a video later tonight that will show you how to put the videos you make on your blog. Easy Peasy.

I created this video first because there are still quite a few people who do not have their WordPress blog set up yet. I included setting up your name servers as well. I have helped quite a few people with problems and one of the most common problems I have seen is that they attempt to set up their blogs but have not designated their name servers.

So here is a simple, easy to follow, step by step video on using Cpanel and Fantastico.

Yesterday we had the first "brain storming" session of Alex Jeffreys coaching program. It lasted for a good 4 hours and I have to take my hat off to Alex again. "You've got a lot of energy and tremendous patience dude!"

As I listened to my fellow students talk about their ideas and what they were having problems with, I started a list of things that I can do to try and help out. Most of these "start up" things are easy for me because I have been doing this for several years now.

The thing is, I remember how frustrating it was at first. I didn't have the money to hire some one to do all the "tech" stuff, so all I could do was muddle my way through it. It was very time consuming and at times I was ready to throw my computer out the window. I must admit that it was a very good learning experience, but I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

So I have decided that I am going to have a Camtasia marathon this weekend, starting tonight. In order to get a lot of them done I am going to let the quality suffer a little. Not the quality of the content mind you, but if my daughter bursts into my office and makes a lot of noise in the background, I'm not going to quit and do another take.

I can always go back and edit them later. I just want to get them out there right now so the people that need help NOW, can benefit from them.

Here is what I have planned so far:

  • how to set up your RSS feed with Feedburner and where to distribute it.
  • how to put a video on your blog
  • how to set up Web 2.0 bookmarking on your blog and which ones you should use
  • which plugins you should be using
  • how to tweak your blog so the search engines will love it

Now I was also thinking about putting up some of the real basic stuff like:

  • how to register your domain and set up your name servers
  • how to set up your blog with Fantastico
  • how to add a paypal button
  • how to use some of the basic html tags
  • how to set up your Aweber

I am going to let the people decide. Post a comment and leave suggestions for possible videos you would like to see. You can leave more than one. Then go to my Alex Jeffreys Coaching Hub page and you will see a poll where you can vote for the one you want to see most.

I will be updating the poll with new suggestions all through the weekend and will remove options as I complete the videos. I want to help the people that need it most so get the word out and make sure every body offers their suggestions and votes.

I'll have the Senseo coffee machine in overdrive this weekend.
