Alex Jeffreys Students

I just got back to my room after the first day of Alex Jeffreys workshop in Vegas. Man, I am so glad that I did everything I could to make it here! Aside from getting some killer content from Alex (some cool videos to follow in a few days), I am making some great partnerships with my fellow students.

I met a couple guys that are making a big splash in the Internet marketing pool lately. You have probably heard of them.

Jit Uppal and Lance Tamashiro are a couple fellow marketers that are also building their lists with JV Giveaways but are taking their list building to a new level. Both have agreed to do interviews with me and we will talk about some of the techniques that they are using to build their list.

I am not going to reveal anything here but I will say it is some very good stuff and I guarantee you are gonna love it. Looks like I am going to achieve another one of my goals her in "sin city". I think I will call it "win city" from here on out.

Why?

Because not only am I meeting some awesome joint venture partners, I have been able to secure a link to a program that might just be a "game changer" for you. Today, Alex was telling us about a new Internet marketer that has been taking the IM niche by storm. In only about 8 months time, he is already making almost $100,000 per month!

That is amazing for someone so new to Internet marketing where the learning curve can be quite large. Alex said that he is a "natural". He is just one of those people who "gets it". He has authorized me to give you this free gift so you can learn a little bit about what he is doing.

I really think you will like this. Go check it out and then come back tomorrow for another live report from Vegas. I am going to go down and have some dinner and a few coldies.

Maybe even make a few more deals 8-)

It's only a matter of time now. I should be finished with the ebook tonight. All I have to do is make sure that I have all of the back end components in place and that all the links work and go where they are supposed to go. Then I will make a couple test runs to double check that the system runs smoothly and like I planned.

For those that are wondering, it's not just about creating the ebook. While I am giving the ebook away for free, my goal is to make about $500 within the first 30 days that the ebook is live. This will happen through various affiliate links that are in the ebook and from back end offers that will be presented to my subscribers via my auto responder.

That is how the "big dogs" build their lists and get payed to do it. My mentor, Alex Jeffreys, has taught me that if you provide as much value as you can and give away the farm for free, your subscribers will be begging you to buy something from you later down the road.

Well I am about to put that theory to the test. I have been using the strategies Alex presents in his free ebook, "List Building With Alex", and I have added almost 500 subscribers to my email list. These are verified subscribers. If I include every lead I generated the number is over 700.

I have been participating in JV Giveaways and PLR products to achieve these results. My ebook is designed to help me leverage the JV Giveaways to produce even more subscribers per event and will be the lead in to my next project. Some time in the very near future, I am going to host my own JV Giveaway event.

Now I have been thinking of a way that I could include some of my fellow students as partners in this event. There will of course have to be some basic requirements that will have to be met. One will be your own original product that will have a permanent place on the first page of gifts.

I was thinking that I could have a script that would rotate the various partners opt in forms on the sign up page. That way the major partners will all get to add thousands of subscribers to their list. I  just finished reading Jason James free report for his new Giveaway Riches product.

He talks about his 3 "Greedy Giveaway" events that he hosted and how he averaged over 11,000 new subscribers per event. He then goes on to say how those results are nothing compared to some of the events run by Henry Gold where he added over 28,000 subscribers in 2 weeks time.

There is also money to made from the one time offers and the upgrades that could be split amongst the partners. Jason said he averaged about $5000 per event. That's not exactly chump change although the real value is in the subscribers.

I am probalby looking for no more than 3 or 4 partners. We will share in the cost of the software to run the JV which is about $300. I have a hosting plan that has unlimited bandwidth, server space, domains, and everything so that is covered. I have placed a support ticket to make sure that the server I am on can handle that kind of traffic.

The partners will have to share in the duties of running the support desk and possibly any expenses that might be incurred if the services of a programmer are required. I think I can handle setting up the script, but you never know. There will also be the cost of the website graphics and some promotional banners which will be another $200 – $300.

We will also need to put together some promotional emails. I think the partners can probably handle this on their own. We will decide on whether we buy any advertising as we go. It depends on what kind of JV partners we have as we approach launch day.

I am totally open to suggestions. If anyone has any ideas or you are seriously interested in being a partner then leave a comment.

traffic kahuna Alex Jeffreys Students Meet The Big KahunaI am talking about Traffic Kahuna. Now this won't be for all of Alex Jeffreys students. If you are a complete newbie, this will not be worth the investment. There is going to be a pretty good learning curve for some one with experience, simply because the amount of training and knowledge that is given inside the members area is incredible.

I have been a member for almost a month now and have only scratched the surface. I am not going to go into all of the details right here because there are just to many. Here is what you need to know.

Traffic Kahuna will open it's doors tomorrow and usually the memberships sell out in a matter of hours. There are people on a waiting list for this. I waited 6 months before I was able to join. You need to go to http://www.traffickahuna.com/invite/jtmartin/blogpost and sign up for the announcement list now. The page is going to tell you that the doors are closed. Some time tomorrow you will receive an email that will tell you the doors are opened.

If you want in, I would hurry. It's not cheap, the price is $147 per month, but worth every penny. That is, if you take action and use the tools inside. If you join and don't do anything then you won't see any results so don't waste your time or money if that is what you are going to do.

For those of you that are in Alex Jeffreys coaching program, I will reimburse $20 a month to you out of my commission. Just make sure you join through the link in this post or in the sidebar of my blog and then leave me a comment and I will email you .

If you can afford it and have the time, this would be an awesome supplement to your Alex Jeffreys coaching. These are the same guys that run Portal Feeder, which is where I learned most of my SEO kowledge and a lot about using Web 2.0 sites to drive traffic. All of this training is in the members area.

You also get access to their Blog Feeder network, software that lets you submit your videos to 40 different sites in about 15 minutes (like Traffic Geyser), a web 2.0 co-op (this is worth the monthly fee), and access to their blog network. These are only the main points. You will see all the details on the sales page when they open.

Now remember, do not spend your money if you are not going to use the tools and training. There is a lot of it. I don't want any one coming back and saying that I recommended something that doesn't work. Nothing works if you don't apply it. It will take you 10 hours or more just to watch all of the training videos. This is not some magic button you push and start making money.

It is…an incredible collection of training and tools that will increase traffic to your blog, (other then fellow students), and boost your rankings in the search engines. I hope some of you take advantage of this when you have the chance. When you get the email saying the doors are open, you need to jump on it because they won't stay open long. Remember, all students of Alex Jeffreys will get a $20 per month discount.

If you haven't heard already, Harry Harris is putting together a Alex Jeffreys Coaching Class of 2008 video. You need to go on over to http://harryharrisblog.com and leave a comment letting him know that you want to be in his video.

You will need to submit a photo and your url. Harry has created a nice video for you to watch with some cool tips on how to get a photo with a caption under it and some other things.

I have been totally obsessed with being the first one to get my blog listed number one for "Alex Jeffreys" keyword, so I haven't worked on my JV Giveaway videos at all. Sorry about that. I am bound and determined to win that $1000. Right now I am only 14 spots away.

In the mean time, get on over to Harry's blog and let him know you want to be in the video.

This ones for you Harry…"May the force be with you."

Last night was bonus module number 1 for Alex Jeffreys coaching program. The guest speaker was Maria Andros, the Queen of Video Marketing. Maria was very enthusiastic and gave us a tremendous amount of information in the short hour that she had.

She gave us a run down of some of the do's and don'ts of using videos as a marketing tool. Things like:

  • making sure you put your url in the description
  • making sure you put your target keywords in the description
  • making sure you use tags
  • always introduce yourself
  • always have a call to action
  • ask people to comment on your video
  • smile, don't be too serious

That is just a few out of a long list.

Videos have taken the internet by storm in the last couple years. Maria is right when she says that "Old School" marketing tactics don't work any more. Video and social marketing is the future of making money online. All you have to do is look at the popularity of sites like YouTube to know this is true.

I have been telling myself for the last 2 years that I need to start implementing videos in my marketing strategy and haven't done squat until recently. Luckily for me it is not too late. I announced a few weeks back that I was going to have a Camtasia marathon to create videos while I still had the free trial available.

Well, life and the holidays kind of got in the way, although I did make 5 videos. My free trial had just run out but after listening to Maria last night, I knew that the $300 for Camtasia is nothing compared to the money that it will make me down the road. So I went ahead and got my key.

Alex sweetened the pot last night by announcing another contest. There will be 2 $1500 prizes payed out after Feb. 5th. One for the most creative/informative video and one for the video that generates the most traffic. So I have decided that I am going to win one of those prizes. That will pay for Camtasia and then some.

I got a new flip video cam for Christmas and I plan to put that to use as well. I might even upgrade to a high def flip cam if I win one of those prizes. You know…I was thinking…The most creative video probalby stands a good chance to be the one that generates the most traffic.

$3000 would be sweeeeeeeeet!

Especially since what I have in mind is probably going to be a lot of fun. I have to say that I have seen one video that I enjoyed by a fellow student of Alex Jeffreys. Check out Dave Dunn's blog and watch the intro video. Dave takes advantage of his "newness" to making videos and turns it into something hilarious.

He is doing exactly what Maria couldn't stress enough last night.

"Just Be Yourself and Have Fun"

Now all of this great information raised some questions about tags and keywords. Maria explained longtail keywords a little but really didn't have the time to go into any detail. Luckily, I have a Hub page that I created about 4 or 5 months ago that explains all you need to know about Long Tail Keywords.

Take a look I think you will find it very helpful. I show you how I do my keyword research. If you like it please take a minute, give me a thumbs up, and click on the share button to submit it to Digg, Mixx or Stumble Upon.
